So I was registering for summer class, I wanted to take two class but realized it was too expensive. When I went to account summary by term, I saw:
Matriculation - Undergraduate $328.12
Matriculation-Undergrad-Sum 3 $328.12
Local Fees-Undergrad.Res $160.12
Local Fees-UG.Res-Summer 3 $160.12
Transportation Access Fee $25.00
Lab Fee AL LANG $5.00
What is local fees? Why do I get charged every semester for my decal? There is a lab fee to take an language class?
I hate how colleges 'nickle and dime' their students.
I can only afford to take one summer class, so my graduation is being pushed off again...figures

ReplyDeletei tried looking for the explaination of the "local" fees on fau's website and i only found a breakdown of every other fee except that, great. luckily though in fau's epay site there's a tab "enroll in payment plan" if you already didnt know. good luck in your endeavours.
WOW and i tought i was just a jerk anout it all! I hate FAU but as I am poor and i have 0 help from parents Gov. due to dependency and Boca is soo pricey i cant even save enough to GTFO! I have 2 years to go and then a Grad degree so i envy you guys who are graduating !
